Women’s Aid East and Midlothian is proud to be a recipient of the LGBT Charter Mark Silver Award, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and diversity.
The LGBT charter mark, is nationally recognised accreditation scheme, and it celebrates organisation’s that demonstrate exceptional support and understanding of LGBT communities. By successfully obtaining this award, it demonstrates WAEMLs commitment to fostering an inclusive, diverse staff and service user community. Lauren is the lead of WAEMLs LGBT equality and inclusion group, she notes:
“I am overjoyed with this achievement, and it really reflects the practice of the whole organisation on a day-to-day basis. Being part of this work has been extremely rewarding and I am proud to have been a part of the work involved in doing this.“
