We are looking for a communications volunteer

We are embarking on an exciting new project to open a Women’s Empowerment Centre in Midlothian, and we need everybody to know about it!

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain additional experience in an unique communication role. These are all great skills to enhance your CV and show that you understand what it takes to develop an effective communications strategy.

This opportunity would see you joining a supportive and lively team, and we would all be there to support you and ensure you are getting the most out of your volunteering. You will be directly managed by one of our Trustee Directors and you will be working closely with our CEO and communications sub group.

We are looking for someone who understands the basic principles of gender equality and appreciates the sensitivities around domestic abuse and gender based violence.

WAEML positively welcomes applicants from within all sections of the community although we are exempt under Schedule 9(Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 and therefore only women need apply.  We would particularly welcome bilingual applicants.
